Dr. Elizabeth Rudy, the Carl A. Weyerhaeuser Associate Curator of Prints at Harvard Art Museums, will present a lecture titled, "18th-Century French Drawings." The lecture will be on Wednesday, March 6, at 5 p.m. in the Diffley Board Room in Bellarmine Hall and is  presented in conjunction with the exhibition A French Affair: Paintings and Drawings from The Horvitz Collection. This event is part of the Edwin L. Weisl, Jr. Lectureships in Art History, and funded by the Robert Lehman Foundation.  A French Affair: Drawings and Paintings from The Horvitz Collection will be on view in the Bellarmine Hall Galleries from January 25 - March 29, 2019. History, mythology, poetry, and portraiture provided a vast range of subject matter for French artists of the 17th, 18th and early 19th centuries. The impressive selection of over 50 drawings, some exhibited with related prints, focuses on a particular category—designs for book illustration—thereby highlighting not only the creative inventiveness of the artists who formulated lavish visual imagery from the written word, but also the rich literary traditions of France and the vibrant...

Are you a women who likes to sing, and has a low voice? We would love to meet you on March 20th! Actually, we welcome all female singers, but we are in particular need of women who can sing bass. Guest Night is the perfect time to check us out, because you'll be joined by other like-minded people who are visiting for the first time. We sing four part, a cappella music, which is one of the few original American art forms! Singing this kind of music creates an overtone when done right, and we do an excellent job of it. We are the New England Chorus Champions, and we will be representing our region in International Competition in New Orleans this Fall! Won't you join us?? Viisit our website to find out more about us!
