This class is designed to introduce Mindful Restorative Yoga as a practice to boost your immune system and increase mindful stress reduction and relaxation. Restorative Yoga will be limited in size as the postures are held in supportive positions with blankets and other immune boosting and stress reducing elements requiring more attention and adjustment.We have special eye pillows to help the mind relax and come back to the present moment while the body is in a supported posture (asana).The class will include guided meditation for stress reduction.Please bring a yoga mat (extras available) and a large towel.

We welcome first timers, ongoing friends and experienced yoga practitioners. There is no charge for this class as it is a gift from the Crossroads Imagine community believing the world is changed as we become more calm and responsive in our circle of influence. These weekly classes are designed to cultivate meditative and compassionate practice in body, mind and soul that translates into daily life. We will focus on breathing (pranayama) and asanas (postures) that will increase flexibility and core strength with modifications for more advanced learning. Yoga Nidra (Deep Relaxation) will close out our class as an evidenced-based practice proven to increase inner peace, calmness and stress reduction. "These four (breathing, postures, meditation and guided visualization) components (of yoga) are complementary with the outcome of: physical and mental fitness, management of emotions and stress, mind-body awareness, mindfulness and spirituality."
